Welcome to Juliety!
My name is Juliet Dreamhunter and I’m excited to see you here – it means you decided to become your best self and are now on the way to achieving your goals!
Several years ago, I used to live “in the future”, working at my engineering office job and seeing all my dreams as “someday”.
I went to the university, got a Master’s degree in Computer Science, and spent 4 years of pretty much the same days, going to work in the morning and coming back exhausted, not wanting much of anything else.
The only hobby I had energy for was reading. Not that you need a lot of energy to read in bed… But at some point I came upon “The 4-Hour Workweek”, and it changed my life.
I convinced my boss to let me work remotely for two days a week (this was before Covid so it wasn’t easy!) and started learning everything I could about self-development, building online businesses, and being productive at home.
I didn’t know much about time management back then, and every new tool I discovered fascinated me. I got really nerdy diving into goal-setting techniques, self-motivation, and organizing my life in order to make the most of every day.
Being a mobile developer, I naturally looked into apps and online services first. Over the years, I tried and tested hundreds of Android apps, digital tools, and browser extensions until I created my most efficient routine.
At the same time, I’m a bookworm, so even though I’m tech-savvy and drawn to the digital world, paper still has a place in my routine. For example, I find that crossing things off my list is not as satisfying on the computer. That’s why you’ll occasionally see me talking about paper planners and to-do list notepads along with project management software.
Some techniques and habits I adopted gladly, while others didn’t stick or didn’t work for me. That’s normal as we are all different and not everything that works for another person will work for you. The trick is to be aware of the possibilities and to cherry-pick the tools, ideas, and methods that make sense for you.
Fast forward to 2023, I’m now an entrepreneur on a mission to help as many people as possible change their limiting mindset and achieve their deeply desired dreams.
Here are some things that changed in my life since I embarked on this self-improvement journey:
✔ I left my office job and started working for myself
✔ I traveled to 18 countries, sometimes spending 1-3 months exploring each one
✔ I tried my hand at more than 10 online business models, most of which failed but taught me a hella lot about myself and what works for me
✔ I got certified as a happiness coach, and then as a goal success coach
✔ In addition to English not being my native language, I started learning Spanish, German, and recently French
✔ I relocated from Eastern Europe to Canada
✔ I read 100 books a year several times
✔ I built five blogs all by myself
Many of these wouldn’t happen if I:
a) didn’t make a decision that change is necessary
b) didn’t learn how to make good use of my time
On this blog, I’m sharing with you all my best tools and secret sauce tips to make you your most productive self.
I’ll also guide you through the process of setting goals you’ll actually be tempted to achieve, and the ways to approach even the trickiest ones.
I’ll let you in on a little secret – I had to overcome some mental blocks and obstacles myself.
✘ I was a “productive” procrastinator. Which is being busy doing a ton of seemingly important things that don’t in fact bring you closer to your goal.
✘ I was a perfectionist. Still am, but I learned to keep it under control and work fast and efficiently instead of perfect but fruitless.
✘ I struggled with imposter syndrome. I faced a bunch of fears and self-doubt, but with the right mindset tools I was able to push through.
✘ I would overthink everything to the point of hardly doing anything. This is the opposite of effective time management, and requires a combination of good tools + a focused mindset to stay on track.
✘ Being an introvert, I struggled with social anxiety and putting myself out there, but I learned to leverage my strengths instead by choosing business models that fit my personality.
✘ I used to work like a rollercoaster. I would work myself into burnout and then stay for weeks in a low unmotivated slump.
I’m definitely not claiming to be perfect and entirely free of these behaviors. However, I’ve become very self-aware and developed effective techniques and habits to prevent them from holding me back.
My motto is: NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE
If you don’t live your dream life yet, you either haven’t really tried or have already found several ways that don’t work, which is great!
Make it your goal to adopt this way of thinking if you want to bring any of your dreams into reality.
And use all the resources available to you that can make it happen faster, starting with the tools I talk about on this blog.
